Are the reason I became a singer/songwriter. I walked into to Tootsie’s in Nashville and saw a ton of familiar faces. We had a bunch of people come out to see us and they requested to hear songs of my new CD right away. Opened up the show at Tootsie’s on a Friday night in the front room with “Drunk Girl,” and our fans made so much noise you would have thought I was playing a Garth Brooks song. Can’t describe what it’s like to look out from the stage and see half of the world famous Tootsie’s singing along.

Every year NSAI hosts a festival featuring Nashville’s top songwriters as well as up and coming writers and artists.  I have the honor and pleasure of being part of that festival this year.  I will be in the round with my buddy, and Ray Stevens staff writer, Matt Cline.  Also in the round, recording artists Lane Turner (Where’s A Sunset When You Need One) and Buddy Jewell (Sweet Southern Comfort).  March 31st, 9 p.m., The Station Inn.  Details on my gigs page.

The Goodfellers and I are competing in The Race To Radio sponsored by Yuengling tonight, 8-9 p.m. at Nashville Center Stage on 8th Ave.  Help us pack the place!

So I found out details about our live audition for the Yuengling people and “The Race To The Radio” competition. The winning band gets a video sponsored by Yuengling and they also work to promote the band to radio, as well as through other outlets as well.

The Fellers and I already made it over the first hurdle, as the producers of the competition loved the CD. Now they want to see what we can do on stage…that’s where YOU all come in.

The audition is actually set up in a great way.

Anthony’s return trip to Toronto has been changed.  The new dates are August 12th-14th at Grace O’Malley’s.  There are no July shows in Toronto.
